Multi-million selling artist CRAIG DAVID will perform at the International Series game between the New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, October 23, when the NFL makes its debut at Twickenham.

One of Britain’s leading music performers, David will take the stage for the pregame show at the second of the NFL’s three London matches this autumn, its first visit to the home of English rugby.

David’s highly-anticipated sixth album, ‘Following My Intuition’, was released on September 30, immediately hitting number one in the Official UK Album Chart. In March 2017 he will undertake a tour of 15 major UK arenas, including two nights at London’s iconic O2 Arena.

“I am hungry, passionate and making music that I’m truly proud of and I want to deliver the music that people have been asking for,’ he said.

“I am thrilled to be performing at Twickenham for such an historic sporting event and am looking forward to an exciting event in an amazing atmosphere.”

David has won four MOBO Awards, two MTV Europe Awards and been nominated for 12 Brit Awards and two Grammy Awards during a career that has seen him sell 15 million albums.

He has achieved 16 top ten hits and multi-platinum sales in more than 20 countries. At Glastonbury this year he attracted a record 25,000-strong crowd to the Sonic Stage.

NFL UK Managing Director Alistair Kirkwood said: “Demand for Craig David’s live shows are higher than ever right now and we are honoured to be able to give our first-ever crowd at Twickenham an opportunity to enjoy his performance.

“It is very exciting to be able to add another world-renowned artist to the diverse list of acts who performed at our games and Craig will get the event off to a fantastic start.”

The game between the Rams and Giants, the 16th NFL regular-season contest to be played in the UK, will air live on BBC Two from 2:00 p.m. UK time, with kickoff at 2:30 p.m. In the US, the game is being aired live on NFL Network.
