Scotland Women face a crucial World Cup Play-Off against the Netherlands on Thursday evening in Rotterdam.

Anna Signeul’s side were defeated 2-1 in the first leg on Saturday at the Tynecastle Stadium but delivered a strong second-half performance.

Lieke Martens and Manon Melis had given Netherlands a two-goal lead but Vauxhall Player of the Match Kim Little provided a boost ahead of the second-leg with a penalty after the break.

Signeul has faith that her team can progress through to the Play-Off Final against either Italy or Ukraine.

“We still believe in what we’re doing, and we still know we can change it,” she said.

“It’ll be tough, but we can score two goals. We’re not giving up so easily.”

She added: “We need to start much better than we did here, and we need to go for it and score goals. Because 1-0 is not enough.”
