Ahead of the meeting between Scotland and England at Celtic Park, Everton teammates Steven Naismith and Phil Jagielka joined Soccer AM’s Tubes for an entertaining feature on Vauxhall Football TV.
Scotland striker Naismith delivered a series of well-known Scottish phrases for England defender Jagielka, who was tasked with the difficult task of providing a correct translation.
Included were lines such as “Ah dinnae ken”, “You couldn’t keep wains out the close” and “His budgie is deid” – any ideas?
Jagielka’s and Naismith’s interactions provide some hilarious moments, helped by Tubes, who, as ever, was in great form.
As well as the Scottish Sayings feature, the Everton duo posed for photographs with a brand-new Vauxhall Corsa.
The vehicle promoted the Vauxhall Fans match between Scotland and England fans in Glasgow on November 18.
