Perform at St. George’s Park recently welcomed England Rugby League stars of the future to their world class facility.

During their visit, England’s potential stars of the future from the Under 18 squad attended the Perform facilities at St. George’s Park, the National Football Centre in Burton.

Perform put the Under 18 squad through two days of testing at the state of the art medical base.

Perform have one of the largest altitude and heat chambers in the UK which was used extensively by the England football team before playing in the Jungle heat of Manaus in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Gareth Whittaker, Strength and Conditioning coach at England Rugby League, commented: “Perform at St. George’s Park provided a unique training experience for England Academy’s preparations for a test series against Australia.

“The cutting-edge technologies within the Perform lab, outstanding training facilities including elite strength and conditioning gym, immaculate training pitches and state of the art recovery suite were the perfect combination when we considered selecting a training venue.

“The expertise, support and hospitality received over the two days of testing and training by Perform were first class and the data collected will be vital in improving our performance. I would not hesitate in using Perform facility again in preparing our athletes.”

Phil Horton, Perform Director, said; “We are delighted welcome England Rugby League and hope to work closely with them again in the future to help their preparations and implement strategies ahead of their important tours and tournament.”
