Perform at St. George’s Park and the PFA are celebrating the news that 750 players from across the country have now used their highly successful Residential Rehab Scheme. The scheme, which is funded for professional players by the PFA helps players recover from injuries using the world-class medical facilities and at Perform St. George’s Park. The popular scheme, which has been used by players including Anton Ferdinand, Swansea City’s Neil Taylor and England Women’s World Cup star Karen Carney allows patient access to Physiotherapists, Medical Doctors and Sports Scientists and is also available to the general public. PFA Deputy Chief Executive John Bramhall, said: “The Residential Rehab Scheme is available to both current and former players and represents another benefit of PFA membership, providing access to the world-class facilities at St. George’s Park. “The specialised and tailored treatment helps members who are dealing with the uncertainty of injury, which can be one of the most challenging time in a player’s career. ”

The PFA have so far funded over half a million pounds in player recover at Perform St. George’s Park and Perform Director Phil Horton believes the Scheme can now stride for even greater results in injury recover. Horton said: “We’re delighted with our continued relationship with the PFA, it’s vitally important that players make the best recovery they can from injuries. “We’re always looking to improve and we have some of the best in the industry working on player recovery. “The scheme has also proved incredible popular with the general public and giving people the best possible chance to recover from injuries that occur in everyday situations,” he added.
