Nottingham City of Football has joined forces with Nottingham City Council to offer football enthusiasts the opportunity to join a brand new City Sixes Summer League.

With all three home nations through to the final 16 of the Euros in France, Nottingham is a hive of activity and excitement with everyone taking a keen interest in the football to see whether each nation will progress further.

A free to attend launch event will take place at Southglade Leisure Centre on Friday 15 July at 5:30pm and male individuals, work mates and groups of friends of all ages are encouraged to come down and sign up for the league.

The City Sixes Summer League will then take place every Friday for six weeks over the summer with the league costing £20 a week per team.

Colin Eley, Nottingham City Council, NGB & Partnership Development Officer said, “Nottingham City Council Sport & Leisure are pleased to be once again working with Nottingham City of Football on an new approach to engagement into football.”

“The launch of City Sixes will add to the range of new and innovative football products available such as Goal League, Walking Football (55+), Rusty Returners (40+) and Female Footy Fives, ensuring there truly is an offer for everyone at every level of play.”

Katie Gibson, Programme and Partner Coordinator, Nottingham City of Football commented, “The summer of football is well and truly under way now with the city gripped by the excitement of the Euros, so with this in mind from June through to August the city will be celebrating the summer of football at events such as Splendour Festival and the Nottingham Beach.”

“The City Sixes Summer League is another fantastic addition to the Summer of Football Calendar and we hope to bring guys together from across the city no matter their level of footballing experience.”
