Jamie Ward and Luke McCullough put to the test in Mother’s Day version of Mr & Mrs
Vauxhall Motors has created a special version of Mr & Mrs with Northern Ireland football heroes Jamie Ward and Luke McCullough to celebrate their original gaffers, their mums. Ahead of Mother’s Day, the players were tasked with asking each other questions and matching their answers with what their mums said, with hilarious results.
The Northern Ireland stars, who face Norway in a World Cup Qualifier this Mothering Sunday, proved how well they know their mums in the short film series, with highlights including:
• McCullough correctly identified what his mum said was the naughtiest thing he did as a child, much to the shock of Ward, McCullough correctly guessed shouting profanities at his brother
• Without hesitation, Ward admitted to always being a mummy’s boy when asked by McCullough
As part of Vauxhall Motors’ sponsorship of the national football teams, the short videos have been created to encourage the public to show their love and appreciation for their mums this Mother’s Day.
Andrew Curley, Head of Sponsorship and Events at Vauxhall Motors, said: “Mothering Sunday is the perfect excuse for everyone to show their mums exactly how much they mean to them. It’s no different for footballers and we wanted to celebrate the players’ special bond with their ‘original gaffers’ by challenging them to this fun version of Mr & Mrs.”
As official sponsor of the national football teams, Vauxhall Motors launched #GetIN as a platform for fans to show their support for their teams, celebrate the spirit of football and give fans one off experiences and real #GetIN moments.
Fans can get involved by entering Vauxhall’s competition to win a spa day, to treat their own original gaffer; for more information and to enter, visit
